At RingCentral, we know we have a responsibility to do what we can to support our communities around the world—that’s why we created the RingCentral Foundation.
With this in mind, giving back has become central to our culture, with a grassroots philanthropy effort that we strive to integrate into everything we do. We are always looking at ways to extend charitable opportunities to our customers and partners.
A new initiative for RingCentral’s Customer Advisory Board
In 2021, we added a charitable initiative to our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, which we currently host twice a year. The CAB + RingCentral Foundation collaboration has been an incredible philanthropic and social innovation. Since most of our events have been virtual in the past few years, adding a philanthropic element has been a great way to bring attendees together around a worthy cause. As Tara Lall, Senior Manager, Customer Advocacy Programs, says:
“Our customers are at the center of everything we do, and that includes supporting the philanthropic mission of our customers when we have the chance. During our most recent CAB meetings, customers who attended helped raise funds for four of our nonprofit partners. When we are able to facilitate a forum where customers can help great causes, that is when the magic happens within our customer advocacy programs.”
Donations made to inspiring nonprofits
At our most recent Spring event in May, we donated a total of $24,000 to well-deserving nonprofits. The nonprofit grantees this time around were awarded $6,000 each. Grantees included:
- Habitat for Humanity helps people in the community and around the world build or improve a place they can call home.
- Muscular Dystrophy Association, a nonprofit health agency dedicated to curing muscular dystrophy, ALS and related diseases by funding worldwide research.
- YMCA of the USA is committed to strengthening young individuals and communities across the country.
- The Salvation Army provides shelters, disaster relief, and humanitarian aid to developing countries.
We hope to expand these initiatives further in the coming months and years as we explore new ways to give back and support our nonprofit customers and partners.
