In this conversation Jamie House will be talking about getting back to the oldest form of human communication: the practice of storytelling. Through the talk she’ll explore the idea of storytelling as a way to develop personal style, to attract customers, and as a tool to use across multiple disciplines (be it product, fashion, commercial, documentary). She’ll also go over different visual elements to convey a sense of story like color palette, lighting choices, creative choices, location, and subject matter.
In this talk Jamie will discuss how having two different sides to her photography business: Fashion/Commercial/Beauty/Product and Travel Documentary were initially at odds with each other and how she used elements from each industry to tie them together in a way that is distinctive and much more harmonious.

About the Presenter
Since discovering photography as a lens through which to interpret the world, Jamie has found her specific niche of photography that incorporates color, shape, creativity, and community.
She started off with a camera as an amateur as a teenager and found her creative space in the fashion, beauty, and product industries. During her journey as a professional photographer, she was added to the US Panasonic Lumix Ambassador team and has been proud to represent the Lumix brand ever since.
