What does the Board do?

The Board is in charge of steering the guild towards its mission:

Promote the presentation design and production industry as a profession, recognize the skills and expertise of presentation creation specialists, and provide opportunities for members to expand their knowledge and abilities.

But that’s not all!

We strive to provide education, support and resources to presentation creation and support professionals to improve their skills and advance their careers. We’re passionate about the Guild and the industry and are excited to add to our team.

What does service on the Board require?

Each Director on the Board is expected to attend at least 60% of board meetings and join at least 2 functional teams: Governance, Membership, Education & Advocacy, Marketing, Events, and Technology. 

The members of the Board are involved in all aspects of Guild activities and are directly responsible for managing and executing Board-approved initiatives. 

Directors are expected to remain responsive to Board communications and use our organizational tools. Directors must contribute to the health and advancement of the Guild, as outlined in the Integrity core value.

Elections will take place this year in October and new Directors will start their terms in January 2022.
