With so many HR software solutions available on the market, how is Qandle creating a story for itself? Let’s find out in its exclusive interview with SoftwareSuggest!
In conversation with Chayan Mukhopadhyay, Co-Founder of Qandle
How did the idea of building Qandle come up?
The idea of building Qandle came up because Himanshu and I have always felt difficulties in using the HR tools in our previous organizations. The biggest issue was that there were many tools that didn’t speak to each other. And the tools were developed with the HR in mind, not the employees.
Among hundreds of HR software available on the market, how Qandle manages to stand out?
Qandle has been built with product adaptation as the goal and with the employees in mind. It is built for the employees, in a way that it doesn’t seem like a burden to them. Qandle actually helps them do their jobs faster and be more productive.
What challenges have you faced since the inception of Qandle to date?
In the very early days, hiring good talent was difficult as no one knew about us. It has improved now and we have an excellent team.
Where do you see Qandle in the next 5 years?
I see Qandle as a global leading provider of HR and productivity software.
Which leading industries have you served? Please mention some of them.
Qandle is built to be extremely flexible and hence, we have been able to serve many diverse industries like Finance, Technology, FMCG, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Healthcare etc.
If you weren’t building Qandle, what would you be doing differently?
I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. If not Qandle, I would be building something else.
Are there any other solutions besides HR software that you are planning to come up with?
We don’t consider ourselves as an HR software, but a productivity and engagement software. We ensure everyone’s productivity increases in the organization – employees, managers, HR, and CXOs.
According to you, what is success? Which are the metrics you consider to measure it?
I think success is being able to make a positive difference in people’s lives. The metric, on the professional front, is happy customers. On the personal front, it is having people in your life you can count on, and those who can count on you.
How do you keep yourself motivated and updated?
Keeping myself updated is easy. There are a lot of good books and blogs available. Actually, sometimes the problem is not what to read, but what not to read since there is information overload.
For motivation, I just think why we started this, what is the end goal, and how far have we already come. It helps put things into perspective.
What piece of advice will you give to emerging entrepreneurs?
Persevere. Don’t give up.
