Sidecar to help merchants with Facebook advertising. Sidecar has updated Sidecar for Facebook & Instagram. New features include intelligent campaign creation, customized audience builder, automated budget allocation, and ad management and testing. The enhanced solution now supports every Facebook ad type, including video ads and single image ads. Sidecar leverages artificial intelligence to understand a retailer’s entire Facebook ad budget, automatically allocating more spend to promising audiences and ad sets.
Fulfillment by Amazon launches seller returns feature. Amazon has added a tool to the FBA customer returns report page to give merchants greater visibility into reimbursements and customer returns. Accessing FBA customer returns reports, sellers can quickly see the status of reimbursements or if FBA is waiting for a customer return to evaluate. Customers can opt for a free replacement instead of waiting for a refund and then buying the same item again. Amazon ships an identical item, if available, from sellers’ inventory when a free replacement is requested.
Teikametrics raises $15 million to extend AI-powered optimization across Amazon and Walmart. Teikametrics, a provider of artificial-intelligence-powered optimization for brands and sellers on Amazon and Walmart, has announced the completion of a $15 million strategic funding round backed by new and existing investors. The announcement follows Teikametrics’ selection by Walmart as an exclusive advertising optimization partner. Teikametrics will use the new funding to advance its AI technology and product development activities, extend its multichannel optimization to new marketplace channels, and expand the company’s SaaS platform beyond advertising optimization solutions.
Aisera, an AI tool for customer service and operations, secures funding. Aisera, an AI-driven platform that automates tasks, actions, and workflows for employees and customers, has secured $20 million in funding led by Norwest Venture Partners. Aisera auto-resolves tasks, actions, and workflows for information technology, customer service, sales, and operations. It also works with existing service desk products (e.g., Salesforce, ServiceNow, and Atlassian) and knowledge bases. The company, which has now raised over $50 million, intends to use the capital for the expansion of its AI-platform in enterprise IT, human resources, and customer service environments.
InVideo launches automated assistant for video creation. InVideo’s intelligent video assistant helps make the text in a video more legible. It also retains branding and overall video consistency. Also, the video assistant aligns the text in the video to maintain the aesthetics and frame balance.
Egnyte launches content services platform. Egnyte, a player in cloud content security and collaboration, has launched its content services platform, leveraging machine learning and AI to give companies visibility and control over their content assets, with a unified approach to content governance, privacy, compliance, and workflow automation. The new solution makes it easy to collaborate through content-rich workflows with colleagues and business partners, and quickly access large files from remote locations.
Vntana launches omnichannel software to simplify 3D ecommerce. Vntana, a creator of hologram experiences, has launched new omnichannel three-dimensional automation software. The new platform converts technical 3D assets to game-engine-ready and web-ready assets that can be used across 3D ecommerce, augmented reality, virtual reality, and holograms through a centralized cloud platform. The software platform includes role-based access to 3D assets and powerful tools to expedite asset optimization, conversion, and distribution through a proprietary 3D viewer.
SumUp launches Mastercard-powered card for business payments. SumUp, a London-based company that enables small businesses to take card payments via its device and online, is launching a prepaid card in partnership with Mastercard. The SumUp Card will enable merchants to gain quicker to access funds collected via SumUp as it will no longer require money first to be transferred out to a third-party bank account. The new card can be used for all business payments, especially from cash-constrained micro-businesses. The SumUp Card is only available in the U.K., Italy, and France, with plans to extend the service to further regions in the next 12 months.
ForgePoint Capital launches $450 million cybersecurity fund. ForgePoint Capital has announced the close of its second fund with $450 million in commitments, bringing the total under management to $750 million. Fund II, focused exclusively on cybersecurity, will invest in early-stage and select growth companies. Fund II’s focus will include cyber intelligence, privacy, security services, and infrastructure protection.
eBay Canada and Shippo partner to power shipping for sellers. eBay Canada and Shippo have announced a renewed partnership to offer improved shipping services for Canadian sellers on eBay. Shippo is the exclusive shipping label printing partner for eBay Canada. Sellers receive access to Shippo’s services and a streamlined process for purchasing shipping labels for all their orders on the eBay platform.
Adobe celebrates Photoshop’s 30th anniversary with new features. Photoshop has turned 30. In celebration, Adobe has released new features for the mobile app and desktop versions. The desktop version features improved Content-Aware Fill workspace improvements to make multiple selections and apply multiple fills without leaving the workspace. The output quality and performance of Lens Blur have been improved, to deliver more realistic results. And Photoshop now supports the new dark mode of macOS Catalina. The mobile version now has an Object Selection tool, as well as updated typographic controls to match the desktop version.
