Campaign Monitor launches CM Commerce. Campaign Monitor, a provider of email marketing software, has unveiled CM Commerce, a new offering built from Conversio, an ecommerce platform. CM Commerce helps retail companies overcome ecommerce challenges faced in their growth process by giving them the ability to create automated email campaigns to streamline engagement. CM Commerce integrates with Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce.
Nosto launches A/B testing and optimization for ecommerce retailers. Nosto, a player in ecommerce personalization and artificial intelligence for retail, has announced the general release of “A/B Testing & Optimization.” The new offering enables digital retailers to run A/B and multivariate tests across Nosto’s onsite personalization products. Retailers can test the performance of multiple variations, such as personalized recommendations, banner images, and call-to-action copy, across any number of pages.
Amazon Web Services launches AWS IQ. Amazon Web Services has announced the availability of AWS IQ, a new service that helps consumers quickly find AWS-certified third party experts for on-demand project work. AWS IQ offers the tools and workspace for more secure collaboration, streamlined project tracking, and integrated billing. Customers log into AWS IQ and describe their project needs in a few sentences. They can then chat with experts to clarify details of the project, compare proposals, review expert profiles, and select the expert.
Yahoo Small Business introduces website design service. Yahoo Small Business has unveiled its website design service. Access drag-and-drop website building tools and choose from 150 themes to customize and publish a site — including hosting services. The standard package provides a professional site with basic functionality and light content updates. The premium package offers advanced features and capabilities, including accepting reservations or appointments, issuing quotes, customer login, and more. Standard is $99 per month. Premium is $299 per month.
UPS gets approval for drone airline. UPS subsidiary UPS Flight Forward has received the U.S. government’s first full Part 135 Standard certification to operate a drone airline. UPS Flight Forward plans to transport a variety of items for customers in many industries, and regularly fly drones beyond the operators’ visual line of sight. UPS Flight Forward’s certificate permits the company to fly an unlimited number of drones with an unlimited number of remote operators in command. Part 135 Standard also permits the drone and cargo to exceed 55 pounds and fly at night, previous restrictions governing earlier UPS flights.
Threekit launches platform for 3D, photorealistic, and augmented reality visuals. Threekit has announced the launch of a platform that allows companies to create thousands of photorealistic, interactive 3D, and augmented reality visuals. By importing a product catalog, the Threekit platform creates a rules engine that businesses can use across their visual supply chain. Marketers can modify product configuration options and approve visuals, while 3D designers have an interface of design tools.
BigCommerce partners with DEITY to simplify mobile commerce. BigCommerce has announced a partnership with microservice-oriented architecture platform DEITY. “DEITY Falcon for BigCommerce,” a progressive web app front-end, will give BigCommerce merchants the ability to use PWAs to deploy native app-like experiences on desktop and mobile devices. Unlike a native mobile app, PWAs are run through a website and do not require a download to be accessed through a consumer’s home screen.
Salesforce introduces order management. Salesforce has introduced Lightning Order Management to connect and automate the commerce order process. Lightning Order Management extends Commerce Cloud, enabling companies to provide personalized order fulfillment, with real-time inventory status, order updates, and easy returns. Process and fulfill orders based on product type, fulfillment location, shipping carrier, and the need for split or partial shipments.
ActiveViam launches a new data lab. ActiveViam, which develops analytics for operational decision-making, has announced the creation of a new entity specialized in data science. This data lab is dedicated to enhancing the forecasting capacity by providing clients with richer insights into their markets, operations, and customers. By applying machine learning algorithms and creating predictive models, the data lab can anticipate the behavior and expectations of consumers.
Google redesigns Google Shopping. Google has redesigned Google Shopping to united shopping information across the web and from local stores. The new home page is personalized for product suggestions. It also includes sections to reorder common items or continue shopping research. Redesign features include the option to track prices and get style ideas the Google Lens. By turning on “price track,” shoppers will receive a notification by phone when the price of that item drop. Google Lens lets shoppers take a photo of, say, an apparel item to find similar style ideas from around the web. Users can choose to purchase online, at a nearby store, or directly from retailers on Google. The redesigned Google Shopping experience is now available in the U.S. across mobile and desktop.
